No force can stop my Yatra: Rahul

Former AICC president Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Telangana on Sunday morning. Rahul stepped into Telangana at the Krishna Check Post near Gudeballur village in Narayanpet district from Raichur in Karnataka.

Telangana Congress leaders and thousands of party workers welcomed Rahul. A festival atmosphere was witnessed at the Krishna Bridge near Maruthinagar and surrounding areas with thousands Congress activists gathering there.

Addressing the gathering at Gudeballur, Rahul said that no force can stop his Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that his Yatra is intended to defend the nation’s unity and that the BJP and the RSS are trying to ‘divide’ the country. “I am taking a break for three days due to Diwali. We will resume the Yatra on October 27 from here,” he said.

Alleging that the BJP and the RSS are spreading ‘hatred’ in the country, Rahul said the Bharat Jodo Yatra is aimed at promoting harmony and brotherhood.

The march will also raise the issues of price rise and unemployment, he said, addressing a gathering after the Yatra entered Telangana.The Bharat Jodo Yatra is against the ideology of the BJP and the RSS and its hatred and violence, he said.

He alleged that ‘two Indias’ exist today, one that belongs to the select few and the rich, and the other that belongs to crores of youth, farmers, workers and small businessmen.“We don’t want two Indias. We want only one India and everyone should get justice and employment. There should be brotherhood in the country,” he said.

TPCC president Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC Campaign Committee chairman Madhu Yashki Goud, former TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and others received Rahul and walked along with him till Gudeballur village where Rahul’s padayatra stopped.Rahul’s padayatra covered nearly three km in Telangana on the first day. He stalled his padayatra at Gudeballur for three days, October 24, 25 and 26, and went to New Delhi.
