No headway on Rythu Bharosa

The Cabinet Sub-Committee on the Rythu Bharosa Scheme has not yet arrived at a consensus on Rythu Bharosa guidelines.
It is learnt that the Committee will meet again and that the members of the Cabinet Sub-Committee had heated arguments on whether ‘to give Rythu Bharosa sops to taxpayers.’
It is learnt that the Cabinet Sub-Committee analysed the proposed Rythu Bharosa conditions and its political impact.
It is learnt that a member of the Cabinet Sub-Committee objected to the condition not to give Rythu Bharosa to taxpayers saying that there are lakhs of taxpayers in the SCCL belt which covers the former districts of Khammam, Karimnagar and Adilabad and that it will damage the interests of the Congress if such conditions are imposed.
It is learnt that the Cabinet Sub-Committee arrived at a consensus only on one proposed condition, that is, Rythu Bharosa should be given to cultivated lands.
However, the Committee asked officials to prepare reports on the basis of information collected from across the state in the past and submit it to the Cabinet Sub-Committee.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee discussed several issues on Sunday at the Secretariat. The Committee discussed the guidelines to identify farmers eligible for the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The Cabinet Sub-Committee will submit its recommendations to the Cabinet after meeting once again.
The Committee discussed the way the scheme was being implemented from the time it was launched. It also discussed the opinions of farmers collected from across the state when the Committee members toured the state. They also discussed the information the officials collected, it is learnt.

The Committee discussed the cut-off date for giving Rythu Bharosa, the land area for which it is given, tenant farmers and other matters, it is learnt.
The Ministers discussed whether the cut-off land area should be for five or 7.5 or 10 acres and how many acres should be the limit. It is learnt that the Cabinet Sub-Committee prepared four drafts regarding this.
There is a chance of the Rythu Bharosa scheme being launched after cabinet approval after considering the Cabinet Sub-Committee recommendations, it is learnt.
It is also learnt that the Cabinet Sub-Committee discussed whether to extend the Rythu Bharosa scheme to government employees, software company employees and taxpayers.
The Committee also discussed the process of PM Kisan Scheme implementation as it is helping only a few farmers. It is learnt that the Committee discussed what points to be taken from the PM Kisan Scheme for implementing the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
It is learnt that the Cabinet Sub-Committee also discussed the Rs 500 bonus per quintal scheme for fine variety paddy.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee held a meeting at the secretariat on Sunday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. Ministers Tummala Nageshwara Rao, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and senior officials attended the meeting.
