No positive response to Special Chief Secretary’s request

When it comes to official matters; going strictly by the rule book counts regardless of the niceties in administration. No babu can afford to throw the baby out with the bathwater at the behest of political masters. Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar had sought from the Municipal Administration &Urban Development Department certain files related to the Formula E race so as to be in a position to reply to the Memo issued by the Chief Secretary. However, the MA& UD did not provide him the details. Yet, he replied, giving details based on his memory. Currently the portfolio of MAUD is held by Chief Minister Revanth Revanth Reddy. Bureaucratic circles doubt whether there would be a positive response to Arvind’s request. It appears that, going forward; things would be made difficult for the senior bureaucrat. As for the issues surrounding Formula E race; when media persons had approached Revanth, he said that officials were probing the issue. Responding to the same issues, former MU&UD minister K T Rama Rao said: “Let them probe officials”.
