Heat wave unrelenting

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said the heat wave would continue for three more days in Telangana.
The IMD said in its Sunday report that the districts of Hyderabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Suryapet, Nalgonda and Warangal experienced heat waves.
Thunderstorms are likely in Nirmal, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Peddapalli, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts. Similar conditions are expected in the above districts on June 19 and 20. Isolated thunderstorms are likely in Telangana on June 21 and 22.
Weather expert T. Balaji said that the state is likely to receive rain on June 24 and 25.
“Scattered storms will start today in South and East Telangana. Severe heat wave to continue. This will last another three days. Weak monsoon onset is expected in Telangana from June 20 and 21 in South and East TS. The monsoon will start on June 23 in North Telangana. Active rains after June 24 and 25,” he said on Twitter.
