The Musi Riverfront Development Project is going to be executed whatever the obstacles are, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy declared here on Sunday.
The CM said the government will extend all help to Musi oustees. There are 10,000 families in the Musi area and the government will spend Rs 10,000 crore to help them, the CM added.
Terming the BRS as a donkey, the CM said that people respected KCR due to the Telangana sentiment. However, the same people taught KCR a fitting lesson due to his arrogance.
Addressing the ‘Koluvula Panduga’ meeting after handing over appointment orders to 1,635 selected candidates at the Shilpakala Vedika on Sunday, Revanth said that KCR gave jobs to all his family members. The CM said that on the one side, there are hundreds of years of experience and 10 years of destruction on the other side. “We follow famous engineer Mokshagundam Vishveshwaraiah who quenched the thirst of millions of Hyderabadis. Hyderabad is a hub of buildings constructed centuries ago,” he said.
“Decide whether you take the Kaleshwaram Project as your model or the Nagarjuna Sagar while executing big projects. Be responsible from the day of joining service till retirement. You have the obligation to win public confidence. Why didn’t KCR give jobs to those who were selected through the 2015 job notification? KCR exploited the sacrifices of the unemployed and the Telangana movement. Today the BRS is exposed.
The government will hand over appointment letters to 11,063 teachers on October 9. It is our responsibility,” the CM said.
He said the government had decided to clean the Musi River by executing the Musi Riverfront Development Project.
“Whatever the hurdles, we will execute the project. Should the people of the Musi catchment area live with stink? The government will construct houses for the displaced,” the CM said.
He said that it is not justifiable for the opposition to block the Musi Project and instead, they should give good suggestions.
“Eatala Rajender changed his shirt but not the smell of his old shirt. Eatala is still following the footsteps of the BRS. He is toeing the KTR and Harish line. My appeal to Eatala is to stand by the poor. Visiting the Musi area is not enough to understand the problem. KTR, Harish and Eatala should stay for a week in houses along the Musi River and only then will they understand the plight of the people there,” Revanth said.
The CM asked the KCR family, which is inciting the Musi oustees, to do something for them. He asked BRS leaders to give suggestions on how to help them. No government will stop executing projects thinking that people would become homeless, the CM said.
The CM said that the BRS government did not consider filling vacancies in government service its responsibility even though it issued notifications to fill vacancies. After a long wait, the unemployed lost faith in the BRS government, he said.
The Congress government gave appointment orders to 30,000 candidates within 90 days of coming to power at the place where we took oath, he said.
He said the government handed over appointment letters on Sunday to bring cheers to every family during Dussehra.
“The state of Telangana came into being due to the sacrifices of youths. All the newly recruited persons will be part of the project to rebuild Telangana. Be responsible in discharging your duties,” the CM said.
