The Minister for Roads, Buildings and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, has reiterated his commitment to ensuring that no talented student in the state is forced to abandon education due to financial problems.
He expressed his deep concern for students struggling to carry on studies and emphasized that supporting deserving individuals is a service to society.
Venkat was moved to act after coming to know
through Chityala Mandal Congress President Gudipati Lakshmi Narasimha about three students who had secured MBBS seats but were unable to pursue education due to financial problems.
The students – Gunde Yugender from Elikatta, Antati Shashi Prakash from Veliminedu, and Rudrarapu Kaveri from Gundrampally – were invited to Hyderabad by the Minister and he personally extended a grant of Rs 65,000 to each of them.
He also assured the students that he would pay their fees for the next five years through the Prateek Foundation, along with other educational expenses. Encouraging them to excel in their studies, Venkat expressed the hope that they would become doctors dedicated to serving the underprivileged and earn a good name for themselves and their families.
