The BJP’s Telangana unit president, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, hailed the resounding victory of the party in the Nagaland and Tripura Assembly elections and hoped that it will be repeated in Telangana as well in the next Assembly elections.

“I hail the people of Nagaland and Tripura for reposing their faith in the BJP. Even in Meghalaya, there is a possibility of a BJP-backed government. The credit goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Nadda, who laid special emphasis on the development of North-Eastern states,” Sanjay said while speaking to reporters here on Thursday.

He said the entire country – right from Ayodhya to Agartala and the entire world – right from Istanbul to Islamabad, is hailing Modi, who is leading India on the path of progress.

“At one stage, there was no possibility of the saffron flag fluttering in north-eastern states. Now, the BJP has shown its power everywhere and ensured saffron rule in the Northeast, driving away Communists. The alliance between the Congress and the Communists has turned out to be a disaster,” he said.

Sanjay said the same result is going to be repeated in Telangana as well and it is going to be a certainty that the flags of all other parties will fade before the saffron flag.

“The BJP will fulfil the aspirations of the people for whom they had fought for a separate state. Apart from existing welfare schemes, we will implement more schemes in a better way,” he declared.
He said that only the BJP can bring Telangana back on the rails and strengthen its economy.

“The people are waiting for an opportunity to bring the BJP to power in Telangana and the entire country is waiting to celebrate the party’s victory in the state,” he said.

Earlier, addressing party workers during the birthday celebrations of former Bhongir MP Bura Narsaiah Goud at Bongulur, Sanjay said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had no confidence of returning to power again.

“If KCR has so much confidence of becoming the Chief Minister again, why would he change the name of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi? He is playing the drama of a national party as he is afraid that he cannot win again,” he said.

Sanjay alleged that KCR had looted the people in the name of the Telangana movement.

“In the past, KCR could not even pay instalments for his car loans, forcing financiers to seize his cars. But after coming to power he has amassed huge wealth while the fate of the poor had become worse,” he said.

He said that after KCR came to power the number of suicides has gone up. People from all sections like government employees, farmers, students and unemployed youth are committing suicide. Incidents of ragging, atrocities on women and suicides have gone up. No action is being taken against those involved if they had the support of the BRS and AIMIM, he said.

Sanjay charged KCR with indifference to tragic incidents like the suicide of medico Preethi Naik or the death of a four-year-old Pradeep in a stray dog attack or suicides by RTC employees.

He reiterated his allegation that KCR had not fulfilled any of his poll promises and had confined himself to his farmhouse and Pragati Bhavan.

“KCR has not used the funds released by the Centre for Telangana’s development,” he said.
