‘Not taking a stand means not being true to yourself’

Must read

Brawls, fights and heated arguments have always been a part of India’s most controversial show, Bigg Boss. And the ongoing season has been nothing new to it. The latest episode has brought in a lot of grapples, especially between Avinash Mishra and Chum Darang. Post the episode going live, a lot of talks have been over Avinash getting evicted. Well, that’s something not confirmed yet, but the love and support that he’s been receiving all over on social media has been tremendous.
Being this seasons’ Kukaad Kamaal Da, not just with his charm but also with his strong grit in the show, has been one of the favourites. Amidst all this chaos over his eviction, The Pioneer takes you back through his excitement over getting on to the show.
The Bigg Boss house was no less than that of a destiny for him. During an interaction with us, just before entering the house, he harks back on sharing, “The Bigg Boss team, they have been approaching me for the show since last 3-4 years. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do it because I was doing a show at that time. This year, when I was about to do a show again, the offer again came in and everything got locked.”
Literally, it had just happened when he was thinking of what to do next and here he is. Getting off his comfort zone and doing something new, who would even miss out on an opportunity of Bigg Boss? He din’t let it go either.
In the show, one thing that fans really adore about him is his honesty and being real. This was something that he believed in too and with this he says, “There’s nothing to be scared of. There’s nothing to have that kind of mentality that it’s a very controversial show. If you’re being very genuine, you will be praised by people outside. Being genuine and real makes you the winner.” Well, he is actually.
Bigg Boss has been one of those shows that test one as a person and also, test you mentally and physically. “I believe that you have to perform there. You have to face every challenge, whatever comes your way and overcome it. I’m totally ready for everything. Not to prepare too much, just go and play the game, enjoy the journey. There’s nothing to feel that it’s gonna be mentally exhausting or physically exhausting. If you are prepared and if you are there to enjoy the journey, you won’t feel any of it,” says the Meetha Khatta Pyaar Humara star, for whom having no strategy is the best strategy.
Just as how balance is very much required in everything in life, so is it according to him, when one plays the game in the house. “It’s equally important to think from your brain and also from your heart. The balance is required in every aspect of your life.”
When in situations, the Titlie star says, “You need to be on the upfront and take a decision about what’s right and what’s wrong. And when you don’t take a stand, you’re not being true to yourself.”
On the other hand, from always being inspired by Salman Khan to share a stage with him was no less than an unreal feeling for him. Meanwhile, he says, “I’m just going to be myself, very real and genuine. I’ll speak out whatever I feel from my heart and, I believe Papa will guide me throughout the journey.”
As we head towards the end of the chat, he’s got a special message for his fans: “I just want to say thank you so much to all my fans who have always supported me throughout my journey. They’ve always seen me playing different characters, the real Avinash. The love that I’ve received means a lot and I feel whoever I am today is because of them. I hope I deliver some good entertainment to them, with the show.”
