Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy’s said that there is nothing wrong in calling Rahul Gandhi as ‘Pappu.’
“Earlier, I used to feel a little sad when Rahul was called Pappu. But looking at the way Rahul spoke at the Khammam Sabha, it seems that there is nothing wrong in calling him Pappu,” he said.
“Here, Rahul read the script written by Congress veterans and left. Rahul has no understanding and no knowledge of anything. It is not understood what status Rahul actually has in the Congress. Will Rahul lead everything in the Congress even if he doesn’t hold any post? He is acting like a ‘Remote’ Gandhi and not Rahul Gandhi. People in the state know everything about Congress and do not need to learn anything new,” he said.
He said that instead of saying what the Congress is doing in its states, Rahul is saying that we will do this here.
“Elections were held in Karnataka. Are you giving Rs 4,000 pension there? In Congress-ruled states, the maximum pension given is Rs 1,000. The old age pension in Chhattisgarh is Rs 500. Widow Pension is Rs 300-Rs 350,” he said. “Does the Congress have the guts to say that it will give Rs 4,000 as pension across the country? Will Karnataka, where the Congress came to power, start implementing it? Do you think that the people of Telangana are fools to believe anything? The people of Telangana do not believe the Congress at all,” Vemula said.
