The government has issued notifications for recruiting 411 Sub Inspectors of Police and 6,100 Police Constables across the State, according to AP DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy. The online applications for SI posts will be received from December 14, and Constables from November 30.
There are a total of 315 SI posts in the Civil (women and men) Department and 96 Reserve Sub Inspector posts in APSP (men). As many as 3,580 Constable (Civil) posts for both men and women will also be filled, apart from 2,520 posts in APSP (men). As per the Government orders, the Andhra Pradesh Police Recruitment Board will take up the recruitment process.
Date of opening of online application for SI posts is December 14, and the last date for submission is January 18, 2023. Hall tickets can be downloaded for the preliminary test on February 5, 2023. Date of the preliminary written test for the SI post is February 19. Paper I will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Paper II, from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
Date of opening of online application for the constable recruitment test is November 30 and the last date of submission of online applications is December 28. Candidates can download the hall tickets for the preliminary test on January 9. Date of the preliminary written test is January 22. DGP K Rajendranath Reddy, in a press release issued on Monday, stated that the application process would be only on online mode. He said the prescribed pro forma for application will be made available on the website https://slprb.ap.gov.in.
Reservations will be allotted for women and other category candidates as per the rules. 33.13 per cent of posts are reserved for women in all categories for SI posts. Similarly, special representation will be made for special categories of meritorious sportspersons, NCC and children of police personnel.
Degree or its equivalent is the eligibility for applying for SI posts. Preliminary test will have two papers: Arithmetic, Reasoning and General Studies. Each paper is for a maximum of 100 marks.
The candidates have to attend the physical measurement test and physical efficiency test. Final written examination will have four papers — English, Telugu/Urdu, Arithmetic and General Studies.
For the Constable post, intermediate or its equivalent is the qualification. Preliminary test will have one paper consisting of 200 marks intermediate standard.
