NTR District collector Dr G Lakshmisha, who assumed charge just two weeks ago, has literally begun on a sunny note, setting an ambitious goal. He is determined to raise awareness about the benefits of using solar power and push for its widespread adoption. Although the initial target for NTR District under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was 20,000 installations; he has upped the ante by aiming at a tenfold increase, targetting 2 lakh solar installations across the district!
