Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched a book titled “Prophet for the World” at a programme held in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister expressed his delight at unveiling what he called a “wonderful book,” emphasising the shared messages of peace found in the Bhagavad Gita, Quran, and Bible. According to Revanth, these sacred scriptures unite in promoting development and harmony among countries. The Chief Minister also acknowledged the regional pride in having the President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board hail from this area. Reflecting on his past service alongside Asaduddin Owaisi as MPs in Hyderabad, Revanth mentioned how Owaisi’s criticism of the Congress government had often been constructive. He noted that an effective opposition helps ensure a more efficient government. “The number of leaders speaking on behalf of the poorer sections in Parliament has significantly reduced. If there are 17 MPs from Telangana, only Asaduddin Owaisi is the leader who speaks about poor people in Parliament. Asaduddin Owaisi remains one of the few raising his voice for the people,” Revanth said, appreciating Owaisi’s advocacy. He further pointed out the increasing impact people from Telangana are making in the corporate and business sectors, adding, “Politics should remain confined to elections. Beyond that, let us all work together for the welfare and development of Telangana’s four crore people.” Revanth Reddy highlighted the need for collaboration with the Majlis party, particularly for the Musi Riverfront Development project. He lamented how the Musi River has turned into a “dump yard” and emphasized the government’s reliance on Majlis party support to transform it. He assured that his government is committed to providing double-bedroom houses to the poor, stressing that everyone shares the responsibility to protect the country and move forward on the right path. Reflecting on past governments, he said, “People have twice given mandates to Chandrababu, YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and K Chandrasekhar Rao. I am confident the Congress government will also be elected for a second consecutive term.” Revanth concluded his speech by reiterating his government’s dedication to the welfare of the poor over the next decade.
