Minister for Revenue and Registration Dharmana Prasada Rao directed the officials to take steps to complete the ongoing development works by prescribed time and monitor the works constantly.
The District Review Committee meeting was held here on Wednesday and the minister reviewed various development works being carried out in the district and the progress of the works.
The minister said that some people for their own mileage approached the courts to halt the development works and implementation of welfare schemes. He asked the officials to take steps to resolve the court issues.
“For the first time after independence, welfare schemes were being implemented on a large scale in AP. Coordinate with those who approached the court to resolve the legal issues,” he told the officials.
MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy urged the minister to release funds for the Pedavadlapudi lift irrigation scheme which is in pending and he also sought administrative approvals for the Buckinghum canal at Tadepalli. Ponnur MLA Kilaru Rosaiah, Collector M Venugopal Reddy also spoke. A host of officials were present.
