Officials directed to complete RIDF works of NABARD expeditiously

District Collector K Vetri Selvi has directed the officials concerned to take steps to carry out Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) works being taken up by the NABARD in the district.  
The Collector held a meeting with the officials here on Tuesday and reviewed the progress of RIDF works. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that with the funds of the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund, various projects are being undertaken by 11 departments in the district to provide various infrastructure facilities in rural areas.
“Construction of additional classrooms, toilets in government schools, infrastructure in schools, social welfare department, infrastructure in schools and hostels as part of tribal welfare, rural, Panchayati Raj through RWS, construction of roads through R&B, construction of Anganwadi centres in ICDS have been taken up at various places,” the Collector said, adding that the construction of government hospitals, advanced medical equipment and other infrastructure will also be provided under the scheme.
Collector Vetri Selvi said that these schemes would be very useful to the people and that the works should be completed quickly and made available for the people’s use. “The works are being carried out with the NABARD Rural Infrastructure Development Fund. The officials of various departments should work in coordination and complete the works on time,” the Collector told the officials She reviewed the completed, in-progress and yet-to-be-started works with the officials of the concerned departments. The Collector directed the officials to attend the next meeting with full knowledge and reports, and instructed them to expedite and complete the works expeditiously. She ordered the officials to submit her reports on the completed works.  
NABARD DDM Anilkanth, Agriculture JD SK Abib Basha and DEI Abraham were among those who attended the
meeting.
