District Collector Tejas Nandlal Pawar has directed the officials of the Engineering and Education Department to complete the first phase of the Mana Ooru-Mana Badi works by August-end.
Reviewing the progress of school development works with officials at the Integrated District Offices’ Complex here on Saturday, he asked the officials to resolve problems in undertaking repairs to schools and construction activity. He instructed the officials to bring to his notice if the problems persisted at the Mandal level. Under any circumstances, the works should be through by August-end, he said.
He directed Ghanpur Tahsildar to resolve the problem related to the land of Padamati Thanda school immediately and pulled up the officials for delay in the construction of the government school in Pebbair.
Further, he firmly told the officials that the works of the ZP High School for Girls should be completed as early as possible. Besides delays in the execution of works, if there are any deficiencies in quality, he threatened to take action against the officials.
He asked the sarpanches of Sakhapur, Sherpalli and Upparpalli villages to resolve the problems in consultation with village elders. He insisted on adhering to the rules in the construction of the school buildings.
Allotment of land and transfer of the land should take place as per the rules, he said.
He asked engineers to rule out any scope for technical problems as it would be detrimental in future.
The officials of the Roads and Buildings, Panchayat Raj, Engineering, EWIDC, Public Health, Education Departments, Municipal officials, Medical and Health officials, CPO and others took part in the meeting.
