Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has directed the district officials to complete the repair works of the low-level causeway diversion road works, near the road bridge at Prakashnagar by October 11 evening and open the causeway for the traffic from Dasara.
He was visiting the Prakashnagar in the 28th Division of the city and laid the foundation stone for the stormwater drain works to be developed at a cost of Rs 1.90 crore of the Telangana Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation funds. He asked the officials to complete the works as early as possible executive them qualitatively.
Later, he inspected the road bridge restoration works at Prakash Nagar. Addressing the gathering, the Minister asked the officials to complete the restoration of the road bridge, damaged due to the recent heavy floods, within the stipulated deadline of 100 days. In view of the problems being  faced by the people in commuting, the Minister wanted the officials to complete the repair works of the low-level causeway works near the road bridge in Prakashnagar by October 11 evening and ensure that the vehicle use the causeway from Dasara.
City Mayor Punukollu Neeraja, several corporators, R and B divisional engineer Chandrasekhar, elected people’s representatives, the officials concerned and others took part in the event.
