Officials told to make arrangements for Komaram Bheem death anniversary

District Collector Venkatesh  Dhotre on Saturday directed the officials of all government departments to work in coordination with elected people’s representatives and make arrangements for observance of the 84th death anniversary of Komuram Bheem on October 17.
He was chairing a meeting of the officials held at a museum in Jodeghat in Kerameri mandal of Asifabad district. Superintendent of Police DV Srinviasa rao, Utnoor ITDA Project Officer Khushbu Gupta, Additional Collector Deepak Teewari, Asifabad and Khanapur MLAs Kova Lakshmi, Vedma Bojju, DRO Lokeshwar Rao, officialsof 29 government departments and others took part in the review meeting on the arrangements to be made for the death anniversary event.
He said that the government has decided to conduct the death anniversary event of Komuram Bheem who fought for Adivasis\ development with his slogan Jal, Jungle and Jameen.
The  ITDA, Education, police departments should take care of the law and order, electricity  department should ensure uninterrupted supply of power to Jodeghat and other adjoining areas,  the rural water supply department, power grid, Mission Bhagiradha department should provide clean drinking water to the people.
The GCC should supply food while the ITDA also take care of the food arrangements for the media representatives and to the people. R and B and Tribal Welfare Engineering department should work with coordination to reserve space for parking of vehicles and construct ramps wherever necessary.
The ITDA EE should raise tents, take steps to fill the ditches on the road and ensure that the lights and fans at the museum are in perfect order, take care of levelling the ground, erection of barricades and undertake repairs to the road from Hatti to Jodeghat. To ensure 24×7 power supply, two power generators should be kept ready. the RTC should run bus services to Jodeghat bring people from other districts. Medical camps should be  conducted and 108 and 104 ambulances should be kept ready, he said.  Stalls of the self-help groups should be  set up in the area. Mobile toilets should be  set up for the visitors.
He inspected the venue of Darbar to be held in Jodeghat, the construction of helipad, the  place reserved for parking of vehicles and so on.
