One more arrested in TSPSC leak case

A new angle has emerged in the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) question paper leak case with the discovery of a new gang involved in illegal activities. As the investigation progresses, the number of arrests in the case has now reached 43.

In a significant development, Ramesh, a DE from the Warangal Electricity Division, was arrested by the Hyderabad police on Saturday for allegedly purchasing and selling the Assistant Engineer exam question paper.

Officials revealed that leaked question papers changed hands extensively indicating a widespread operation. Four candidates who had obtained question papers from Ramesh are currently being held for questioning. The SIT intends to apprehend an additional 10 individuals in connection with the case.

Among the recent arrests is Ravi Kishore, a junior assistant in the electricity department, who has been apprehended in connection with the case.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) found evidence that question papers were sold to at least 20 individuals.

A Divisional Engineer (DE) working in a coaching centre located on RTC Cross Road has also been detained. Police said the DE had established connections with candidates who had visited the coaching centre.

SIT officials are now focusing on candidates who scored top marks in the exam, as they suspect their involvement in the question paper leak.

The total number of accused individuals has risen to 46, with the arrests of Ramesh and Lokin Satish Kumar, who was apprehended on Friday. Of the 46 individuals, the SIT has arrested 45 people so far, as they continue their investigation to uncover the extent of the question paper leak scandal.
