IMd Imtiaz, Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA), Additional Commissioner and Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has said that online consumers would come under the Consumer Protection Act – 2019. He released a brochure ‘Viniyogadarula Rakshana Chattam 2019 – Hakkulu, Prayojanalu’, designed by the Consumer Organisation Federation at his office in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Imtiaz said that as per the ‘Consumer Protection Act – 2019’, consumers may resolve their problems through mediation. Also, he suggested that consumers may approach the National Consumer Help Line Number 1915 if they were cheated when they purchased products. Also, there is an Integrated Call Centre number 1967, and consumers may use this number for their problem resolution, he added.
