In a step aimed at empowering marginalised communities, Minister for BC and EWS Welfare S Savitha has launched a free online DSC coaching programme for aspirants belonging to BC, EWS, Kapu, SC and ST categories. The initiative, implemented through BC Study Circles and powered by the Acharya app developed by Kakinada-based Shyam Institute, aims to provide high-quality, accessible coaching to all eligible candidates.

Speaking at the launch event held at the State Secretariat, Savitha said the app-based coaching will be available 24/7, with expert-led classes, subject-specific materials and previous DSC question papers. The app also features a live chat box for doubt resolution and dedicated technical support teams across all districts via WhatsApp groups.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to education and employment, she recalled that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu fulfilled his election promise by releasing a notification for 16,347 teacher posts. She added that the very first file signed by the CM after assuming office was related to this mega DSC recruitment drive.

The initiative includes free offline coaching across 26 districts, with stipends of ?1,500 per month and an additional ?1,000 for books. Over 3,189 applications have been received so far, and the programme is open to all eligible candidates, especially benefiting homemakers, rural youth and working professionals who cannot attend physical classes.

Savitha encouraged more candidates to make use of this opportunity and download the Acharya app for instant access. “Our goal is to see maximum representation of BC, EWS, Kapu, SC, and ST candidates in this recruitment drive,” she said.

Senior officials from the BC Welfare Department and representatives from Shyam Institute also attended the event.
