Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu launched a scathing attack on corruption at the party’s landmark Mahanadu in Kadapa, unveiling a bold new initiative titled Operation Clean Politics. Drawing parallels with the recent anti-terror operation Sindoor, Naidu branded corrupt political elements as “economic terrorists” and vowed to eliminate them in his mission to restore clean and people-centric governance.
“Just as terrorists threaten national security, economic terrorists disguised as politicians pose a grave danger to society,” Naidu asserted, accusing the previous YSRCP regime of looting the State through land, sand, liquor, and mining scams. He pledged a relentless campaign to purge political life of corruption.
Highlighting the TDP’s resounding electoral victory, Naidu declared the Mahanadu a “super hit,” noting that this was the party’s first major event since the NDA returned to power. “A year ago, I predicted political change in Kadapa. Today, that prophecy has come true,” he said, citing the party’s 7 out of 10 seat win in Kadapa and 45 out of 52 across Rayalaseema.
With a 93% strike rate and a 57% vote share, Naidu underlined that the public had endorsed the NDA’s agenda. “Our politics is not about intimidation or violence. For us, power is a sacred trust,” he said, referencing the victories of key TDP leaders including Nara Lokesh and Palla Srinivas.
Recalling the State’s dire financial condition under the previous regime, Naidu said the government inherited a Rs 10 lakh crore debt and Rs 1.2 lakh crore in unpaid bills. “We didn’t panic. We rebuilt Andhra Pradesh brick by brick. Today, we are showing what real governance looks like,” he said.
Naidu reaffirmed the TDP’s commitment to development and welfare, highlighting initiatives such as enhanced pensions, Anna Canteens, and Deepam 2 LPG cylinders. Over Rs 33,000 crore has been allocated for pensions benefiting 64 lakh people. On education and employment, he mentioned the DSC notification for 16,347 teacher posts and pledged to create 20 lakh jobs, backed by MoUs worth Rs 4.95 lakh crore.
Reiterating the party’s support for backward classes, Naidu cited a Rs 47,456 crore allocation for BC welfare and announced relief measures for traditional communities, including GST exemption for handlooms and subsidies for solar installations.
On the contentious land issues, he blamed the previous government for enabling land grabs via Section 22A and the Land Titling Act. “We have repealed that Act and enacted an Anti-Land Grabbing law,” he said, promising that all land disputes would be resolved by the next Mahanadu.
To promote decentralised development, Naidu released the Rayalaseema Declaration, outlining district-wise plans for industries, irrigation, and tourism. He announced that the Rs 9,000 crore Kadapa Steel Plant would begin work by June 12, and key irrigation projects would be prioritised.
Promising to eradicate poverty by 2029, Naidu concluded, “TDP is not just about power – it’s about people. Together, we will build a wealthy, healthy and happy Andhra Pradesh. The worker is the leader and the youth are our future.”
The event ended with the CM honouring a party worker who cycled from Koduru to Kadapa and announcing funding to address Kadapa’s drinking water issues through the Buggavanka reservoir.
With six strategic resolutions adopted, Mahanadu 2025 marked a defining moment in TDP’s roadmap towards transparency, innovation, and inclusive development.
