Oppn stands for lies & deceit: Jagan

Must read

Describing the TDP, Jana Sena, and the BJP alliance as conspiratorial, deceitful, and prone to falsehoods, Chief Minister and YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has called upon the people to bless the ruling party with a clean sweep victory of 175 assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats to teach a fitting lesson to the opposition in the forthcoming elections.
Launching the party’s poll campaign at a mammoth public meeting ‘Memantha Siddham’ in Proddatur on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that unable to withstand the backing of crores of people for YSRCP, the TDP and Jana Sena have directly joined hands with a national political party and indirectly roped in another national party.
As if that is not enough, they have instigated his two sisters besides launching a malicious campaign against him on the murder of his uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy and the seizure of a drug container by the CBI at the Visakhapatnam Port, he said, adding that they have ganged up to malign him with the support of their friendly media.
They want to make political gains by politicising deaths and character assassination against Jagan while openly encouraging the proclaimed killer with the support of their media, but people know who the real culprits are, as Chandrababu Naidu and his foster son have no political credibility or ethics.
It is an open fact that the relatives of BJP State president Purandheswari and Chandrababu owned the company that imported the seized material, but they want to blame Jagan for making political gains, the Chief Minister said.
Cautioning the people that the slew of welfare schemes will continue only if Jagan remains Chief Minister, he said that the opposition parties have come together and are implementing their conspiracies by creating dissensions in his family.
In the 2014 elections, these three parties came together and distributed signed copies of an election manifesto promising the waiver of farmers’ loans, women’s self-help groups’ loans, jobs for every family and unemployment allowance in the absence of a job, Rs. 25,000 for the birth of a girl in the name of the Mahalakshmi scheme, three cents of house site for the poor, and a host of other promises but threw the manifesto into the dustbin after coming to power, he said.
The issues on which they came together in 2014 remain unresolved. TDP and Jana Sena have ganged up and fallen at the feet of Delhi leaders for fighting Jagan.
“What happened to the promise of special status to the State?” he said.
“It is a war between YSRCP that stands for credibility and political values and a combination of political parties that stands for deceit and lies,” he said and cautioned people that a vote for the opposition will result in the winding up of welfare schemes and the loss of happiness for the poor.

While Naidu threw the election manifesto into the dustbin and cheated people after winning the 2014 polls with the support of Jana Sena and BJP, the YSRCP fulfilled 99 per cent of its election promises and spent a whopping Rs. 2,70,000 crore on welfare schemes by pressing the button 130 times in the last 58 months transparently, with Rs. 1,90,000 lakh crores of it going to women alone.

Asking the people not to be misled by the false promises of Naidu who has a proven track record of backstabbing all sections, he asked them to press two buttons for YSRCP in the May 13 polls, one for the assembly seat and another for the Lok Sabha seat.

“We have brought revolutionary changes in the administration, and they are tangible in village and ward secretariats, RBKs, village health clinics, family doctors, digital teaching in classrooms, Aarogyasri, and Arogya Suraksha in every village from Idnupulapaya to Ichhanpuram. A vote for the TDP-led combine will only result in the revival of corrupt ‘Janma Bhoomi committees.

Besides creating 2,31,000 government jobs, constructing 22 lakh houses for the poor, and giving permanent rights over 35 lakh acres of assigned lands, the Government has also worked with the aim of achieving social justice,” he said, cautioning people that these changes will continue only if YSRCP retains power.

The Chief Minister introduced the Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates of the Party to the people and urged them to give victory in the ensuing elections.
