The pandemonium regarding appointments of Congress mandal presidents continued on Friday too. Congress leaders from the districts have been coming to Gandhi Bhavan saying that their names did not figure in the committees announced for mandals and towns.
The pandemonium increased after the PCC gave orders twice to please the unhappy leaders. The leaders were confused over who has been appointed and who was not after the two orders.
One of the PCC working presidents issued orders on July 4 appointing presidents for several mandals including the mandals of the erstwhile Adilabad district.
However, one TPCC Senior Vice-President issued another list. The issuing of orders appointing presidents for Khanapur, Jannaram Town, Indravelli and Utnoor mandals has turned controversial, it is learnt.
It is also learnt that the TPCC Senior Vice-President gave orders to mandals in Yellareddy, Narayanakhede, Suryapet, Munugode, Siddipet, Khanapur, Maheshwaram, Warangal East, Warangal West, Janagoan, LB Nagar, Bhongir, Alair, Ibrahimpatnam, Palakurthi and Musheerabad.
On Friday, Congress leaders from the erstwhile Medak district came to Gandhi Bhavan and staged a protest complaining that they did not get posts even though they have been serving the party for years.
