Osmania University, in collaboration with the Global Education and Careers Forum (GECF) and Human Capital Development Centre (HCDC) has organised a “Study Abroad Fair” on Thursday at the University College of Engineering, Osmania University.
More than 800 students, along with their faculty members from different colleges across the state of Telangana and representatives from 39 universities across five countries – USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and France attended the fair. The chief guest of the event was Senior Prof. R Limbadri, Chairman, Telangana State Council for Higher Education.
Prof. CV Ranjani, Director of HCDC, OU, welcomed the participants and urged the students to take this great opportunity to learn about the different study abroad options available to them by interacting with the university representatives present at the fair. Students of all disciplines including Commerce, Engineering, Management, Arts and Social Sciences and Sciences can benefit from the fair.
Lakshmi Narayanan, Secretary, GECF, gave an overview of the activities of GECF and the universities participating in the “Study Abroad Fair”. Senior Prof P Laxminarayan, Registar of OU, and Senior Prof. Sriram Venkatesh, Principal, University College of Engineering, OU, were the guests of honour for this event. During his address, Senior Prof P Lakshmi Narayan gave many valuable tips to the students for getting visas and different study abroad options available to them.
Senior Prof. Sriram Venkatesh thanked HCDC and GECF for organising this fair and appreciated GECF for providing free IELTS training for the Osmania University students.
Senior Prof. Limbadri congratulated HCDC and GECF for this initiative. In his address, he stated that notable alumni of Osmania University are spread across the globe. Such fairs will cater to all the needs of aspiring students who wish to dream big and study abroad.
