Our govt will fully support Swadeshi Mela: IT Minister

Our government will fully support the Swadeshi Mela to be organised by the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch in the month of October”, assured D Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT and Communications, Industry and Commerce and Legislative Affairs of Telangana here on Thursday.  
A pre-launch event for the ‘Swadeshi Mela’ organised by Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, took place at Haritha Plaza. The Swadeshi Mela is scheduled to be held from October 23rd to 27th at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sridhar Babu said that despite differing ideological views, he is impressed by the efforts of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch in promoting local products and businesses and spreading the message of self-reliance.
The Minister also highlighted that the government is already running several programmes for rural development and women’s empowerment, and a collaborative supply chain system between Swadeshi Jagaran Manch and the government could further boost the promotion of local products.
During the event, the brochure for the Swadeshi Mela was released by the minister and members of the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch.  Dr Sattu Lingamurthy, speaking on behalf of Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, emphasised that the organisation’s clear mission is to protect Indian businesses while fostering economic self-reliance in every sector.
He called upon every Indian to embrace self-reliance and contribute to the nation’s transformation into a developed India (Viksit Bharat), underscoring that the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch remains dedicated to this cause.
