Parents of two youths, who drowned in a ditch filled with rainwater, have praised Minister for Prohibition and Excise and Tourism V Srinivas Goud for coming to their rescue.
Ganesh and Siva drowned in a ditch filled with rainwater at Kuccha Thank under Hanwad mandal in the district. Ketwat Gopi and Santi Bai, parents of Ganesh and Mudawat Ravi and Sony Bai, parents of Siva, on Sunday, thanked the Minister for allotting double-bedroom houses to them.
They said the Congress leaders tried to take advantage of the death of their wards for their partisan political gains.
Ganesh and Siva, on July 11 fell into a ditch filled with rainwater while playing and died. Taking advantage of it, Congress leaders tried to mislead them but failed to extend any financial assistance. They did not give them at least a Re 1.
Srinivas Goud visited us in the hospital on knowing that the children died. He enquired about the well-being of the two families and got 2 BHK houses sanctioned. He assured us all help.
