The Lok Sabha elections along with Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections have reached the final phase in the Telugu states as only 10 days are left for the election campaign. It may be recalled that the polling will be held in Telugu states on May 13. With the campaign of top-level leaders of all parties the political heat is beating the summer heat. Even though not able to read the public pulse in the Telugu states, the major political parties are confident of their victory in the elections.
In Telangana, the Congress, BJP and the BRS are fighting in the Lok Sabha elections. In Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress, TDP-led alliance consisting of Jana Sena and the BJP, the Congress are fighting in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Surveys conducted by various organisations on the elections in the Telugu states is creating confusion in the political parties.
In Telangana, the voice of surveys is almost the same about the Lok Sabha elections. But regarding Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections the survey organizations have revealed different opinions. Some organisations said that YSR Congress is going to win in the Assembly elections while some organisations said the TDP alliance is going to win. Despite what the surveys say, the fight between the political parties in the Telugu states has become interesting. The top leaders of various political parties are trying to divert the people towards their parties with their campaign.
In Telangana, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of the Congress, BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and from the BJP, Prime Mnister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in addition to local leaders are the key campaigners. In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan are the key campaigners.
The elections in the Telugu states for BRS president KCR in Telangana and for TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in Andhra Pradesh are very important, because personally, KCR and Chandrababu and also their parties’ future is depended on the outcome of these elections. In Telangana, in the Lok Sabha elections, the fight is triangular between the Congress, BJP and the BRS.
In Andhra Pradesh, in the Assembly elections and in the Lok Sabha elections also, the main fight is direct between the YSR Congress and the TDP alliance.
