Party chief will take a call on issue: Amarnath

Minister for Industries, Gudivada Amarnath, unequivocally affirmed that the YSRCP has no objections regarding the simultaneous elections.

At a function here on Saturday, he emphasised the party’s stance on the ‘one election, one nation’ concept. However, he also noted that the final decision on this matter rests with the Chief Minister. The Minister further disclosed that Assembly elections are expected to take place in Andhra Pradesh in the next six to seven months. In the event of simultaneous elections, the schedule for the Assembly election would be adjusted accordingly. He mentioned that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy will engage in discussions with senior leaders to make a final decision regarding the Jamili elections.

As part of its strategy, the YSRCP has decided to establish one office in each district, and this initiative commenced with the opening of an office on Saturday. Additionally, it was noted that if necessary, the Visakhapatnam party office could serve as the Central office, especially with Visakhapatnam emerging as the administrative capital of the state.

Minister Amarnath expressed strong confidence that the YSRCP will secure victory in the upcoming elections. He highlighted that a significant portion of eligible underprivileged individuals are benefiting from the government’s welfare schemes. He asserted that the people of the state are eager to see the YSRCP continue its governance.
