BRS MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy is likely to join the Congress as inductions into the Congress are gaining momentum. Highly placed sources said that Mahender reportedly visited Karnataka and met DK Sivakumar recently. After his return, he had a meeting with his key followers on Saturday and he raised the problems faced by the BRS and the issue of getting a ticket in the next elections.
Sources said that the uncertainty of getting a BRS ticket in the next election is the reason why Mahender is reviewing his stand.
In 2018, he contested from Tandoor and lost to Congress candidate Pilot Rohit Reddy. After that, Rohit joined the BRS and after that he got the full support of KCR. The entire BJP farmhouse case on buying four BRS MLAs revolves around Rohit Reddy who seems to have the blessings of the BRS supremo.
