Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed strong objection to recent remarks made about the volunteers, stating that the system was established with a service-oriented motto and that individuals with questionable character are making objectionable comments.

Addressing a massive public gathering on Friday, the Chief Minister said that only individuals lacking cultural sensitivity would criticise the volunteers who have been diligently providing selfless service to the people with utmost responsibility.

Jana Sena president, Pawan Kalyan, was referred to as a political volunteer and a star actively supporting the TDP for the past 10 years.

“The 2,60,000 volunteers, with 60 per cent of them being women, are well-known locals in their respective neighbourhoods. They work as dedicated family members, providing transparent services regardless of caste, creed, or political affiliations,” the Chief Minister explained.

However, the Chief Minister expressed concern over unscrupulous individuals making baseless allegations against the volunteers, including charges of human trafficking, which he vehemently opposed.

Commending the volunteers for their pivotal role in implementing welfare schemes, the Chief Minister strongly criticised actor-turned-politicians for engaging in character assassination of these volunteers, emphasising that such behaviour is unacceptable.

Accusing Pawan Kalyan of acting at the behest of Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister pointed out that their characters are well-known to the public.

“Their history is marred with deceit and betrayal, and they have not contributed positively to the welfare of the people,” he asserted, further labelling the actor as a B team to TDP.

Encouraging the people to make a choice between a government that has transparently implemented welfare schemes to provide social justice to weaker sections, following Dr. Ambedkar’s philosophy, and political manipulators who seek power to exploit public funds with the aid of friendly media, the Chief Minister passionately addressed the crowd.

“Jana Sena itself is like a drama group, with Pawan Kalyan playing a role in the political drama produced by Chandrababu Naidu, with support from friendly media,” he said, dismissing the actor’s statements on alliances as mere theatrics.

Reiterating that he does not have friendly media that follows the Goebbels theory, unlike Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister urged the people to stand by the YSRCP and ensure its victory in the upcoming elections if they believe they have benefited from the array of welfare schemes implemented by the government.

He also cautioned the people against falling prey to future malicious campaigns targeting YSRCP MLAs and Ministers, similar to the ones being spread against the volunteers.

The Chief Minister appealed to the public not to be swayed by such deceitful campaigns.
