Jana Sena Party (chief) chief K Pawan Kalyan has alleged that the YSRCP activists are resorting to atrocities against those who are questioning the misdeeds and failures of the ruling party leaders in Pedana and appealed to the higher police officials to take steps to curb the atrocities.

In a statement here on Monday, Pawan Kalyan said that three JSP activists pasted wall posters in Pedana town highlighting the failures of the government. The YSRCP activists attacked the three JSP activists. When the JSP activists went to the police station seeking protection they were beaten up in the presence of police in the police station itself which reflects how horrible the ruling in the State is, he alleged.

Those who thrashed the JSP activists were the followers of a local YSRCP leader. One of the victims belongs to the SC community, another is a Muslim and the third victim belongs to the Kapu community, Pawan Kalyan informed.

“The victims, along with their family members, met me in the state party office at Mangalagiri on Monday. They explained to me how the ruling party leaders are harassing them,” he said.

A YSRCP leader’s cut-out was set on fire by unidentified miscreants but the JSP activists were framed in the case. The YSRCP activists were going to the houses of JSP activists and threatening the women, he said.

“If the attacks and atrocities continue in Pedana, we will come onto the streets and fight for justice in a democratic way. I appeal to the police higher officials to take steps to check such cruel acts,” Pawan Kalyan said.
