Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan strongly condemned the violent incidents allegedly orchestrated by YSRCP activists during Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Punganur.
In a statement issued on Friday, Pawan Kalyan accused the ruling YSRCP of attempting to suppress the voice of the Opposition. He asserted that all sections of the State’s population are suffering due to the misrule of the YSRCP.
“It is the duty of Opposition leaders to stand up against the government’s misdeeds on behalf of the people,” he declared.
Regarding the recent events during former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s visit, Pawan Kalyan expressed his disapproval, stating, “The incidents that occurred during Chandrababu Naidu’s visit were highly regrettable. The violent actions of YSRCP activists, who resorted to stone-pelting and vandalising vehicles to prevent his visit, reflect the growing dictatorial tendencies within the ruling party. Such developments in Punganur must be condemned by all who believe in democracy.”
Earlier, while addressing Jana Sena leaders at the state office in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan called for a united front against the rule of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, whom he described as a ‘cruel ruler’. He emphasised the need to free the State from the clutches of Jagan Reddy’s governance.
The Jana Sena chief also predicted the possibility of more violence being orchestrated by the YSRCP during the upcoming elections, as Jagan Mohan Reddy might be reluctant to relinquish power.
“For the 2024 elections, I will not rely on the election strategy we employed in 2019. Instead, we will adopt a robust election strategy, taking into account survey reports and other crucial factors,” Pawan Kalyan announced.
