Pawan hands over Rs 5 L insurance cheques to families

Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief K Pawan Kalyan has assured the bereaved families of all help to them.Pawan Kalyan, who was on his ‘Vaarahi Vijaya Yatra’ on Saturday, held a meeting with the family members of the Jana Sena activists who were killed in various accidents.

He interacted with the family members of 48 JPS activists who were killed in various accidents in East and West Godavari districts on Saturday. He handed over Rs 5 lakh insurance cheques to each of the bereaved families and paid tributes to departed activists by garlanding their portraits. Addressing them, he said that he considers them as his family members.

“If one of the family members dies, that will be a great loss and that cannot be filled. However, the JSP is always ready to come forward to protect the bereaved family whatever problem they face,” he told them.

The Jana Sena party is doing what the government could not do. The JSP feels the activists as their own family members, he stated. “Though we cannot bring back the lost lives, we can extend help to their family members.The JSP has an agreement with the insurance company to pay Rs 5 lakh to the bereaved family, he said. Pawan Kalyan claimed that he has neither health insurance policy nor life insurance for himself.

He said that he was moved by the way the JSP activists helped  differently abled couples. The Jana Sena has 6.76 lakh active members and the party is getting strengthened. Earlier, Pawan Kalyan held a meeting with intellectuals. He also participated in the Janavani programme here on Saturday. He listened to the grievances and complaints from the people. He assured them to try to resolve the grievances.

Meanwhile, JPS sources said that Pawan Kalyan would continue his ‘Vaarahi Vijaya Yatra’ on Sunday and address a public meeting at Sarpavaram junction in Kakinada at 5 pm .
