Government Advisor on Public Affairs and general secretary of the YSRCP, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, has expressed sympathy for Jana Sena leader Pawan Kalyan’s current predicament. Addressing media representatives on Saturday, Sajjala asserted that the TDP had effectively predetermined the candidates for Jana Sena in the upcoming elections, suggesting that Pawan Kalyan had debased himself by accepting seats offered by Chandrababu Naidu. Sajjala remarked that it would be less demeaning for Pawan Kalyan to simply assume the role of TDP Vice President.
Despite any manoeuvres they may undertake, Sajjala affirmed that 87 per cent of Chief Minister Jagan’s welfare initiatives have been positively received by the populace across the state. He also stated that concerted efforts were being made to secure victories in all constituencies, including Kuppam. Regarding the speculated tri-party alliance involving the BJP, Sajjala indicated uncertainty even from the BJP’s perspective regarding the allocation of the 24 seats in question.
Sajjala questioned the viability of Pawan Kalyan’s campaign strategy, highlighting the absence of candidates to contest in all 24 constituencies. He criticised Pawan Kalyan for seemingly echoing the directives of Chandrababu Naidu without fielding candidates of his own.
The government advisor further alleged that Pawan Kalyan appeared directionless regarding his electoral constituency. Notably, while Chandrababu Naidu has announced Kuppam as his electoral battleground, Pawan Kalyan has yet to reach a decision. Sajjala suggested that Chandrababu Naidu should assume responsibility for nominating candidates in all remaining constituencies, excluding the five seats already announced for JanaSena.
Sajjala lamented the failure of Chandrababu Naidu’s administration to nominate candidates for all 175 constituencies despite being in power for numerous years. Additionally, he pointed out JanaSena’s inability to finalize candidates for all 24 constituencies. Sajjala warned that should the BJP ally, Chandrababu Naidu may redirect his candidates to the BJP.
Accusing the TDP of attempting to ally with the BJP while simultaneously supporting the Congress to divide YSRCP votes, Sajjala criticised Chandrababu Naidu’s inability to showcase his achievements from 2014 to 2019. Sajjala expressed disappointment that JanaSena, as an ally, was endorsing such a party.
Sajjala noted efforts by the TDP to secure a BJP alliance through meetings with top BJP leaders but lamented the lack of progress. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu’s alliance pursuits were solely aimed at enticing voters for electoral gains.
Asserting the electorate’s awareness of which party delivers on its promises, Sajjala expressed confidence in Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration and predicted his re-election.
