Must read

On the sidelines of laying the foundation stones for key infrastructure projects in Parvathipuram, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan interacted with local tribal communities and gained a deeper understanding of their struggles and developmental needs.
During his visit, Kalyan highlighted the pressing issues faced by tribal farmers, particularly the importance of the Surapadu reservoir, a project that has seen delays despite its critical role in providing irrigation. “I understand the challenges faced by the tribal farmers here. The completion of the Surapadu reservoir will significantly help them grow crops without difficulty,” Kalyan stated, indicating his commitment to advocating for the project with district officials to accelerate its completion. The Surapadu reservoir is expected to be a game-changer for local farmers, offering a reliable water supply for agriculture and addressing the longstanding frustrations associated with water scarcity.
In addition to his discussions about agricultural support, Kalyan also unveiled awareness posters created by forest officials in the Saluru Range aimed at reducing cannabis cultivation in the region. “The Forest Department has been working tirelessly to combat cannabis cultivation. This effort is crucial for the well-being of our communities and the preservation of our forests,” he remarked.
The visit featured a vibrant cultural exchange as Kalyan participated in traditional festivities at the Chilakala Madangi hill, joining local tribes in their energetic Dhimsa dance.
