Pawan Kalyan raises concerns over ‘Rushikonda Palace’

Must read

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan made a detour to inspect the controversial constructions at Rushikonda, known locally as the “Rushikonda Palace.” These opulent buildings, worth a staggering Rs 500 crore, were hidden from public view until after the recent elections.
Pawan Kalyan, who had previously raised concerns about the construction during his pre-election visits, took the opportunity to explore the site first-hand. Accompanied by MP M. Sribharat, the Deputy CM was briefed on the seven large buildings and three houses that have been constructed on the land.
“The previous government kept these constructions under wraps, restricting public access even before the elections,” MP Sribharat stated. “The secretive nature of this project raises serious questions.” Pawan Kalyan spent time exploring the surroundings of the palace, including the sea viewpoint. He interacted with the staff working there, posing for photos with them. He also expressed curiosity about the project’s legal and financial aspects.
Local MLA Sundarapu Vijay Kumar and Visakhapatnam Corporator  P Murthy Yadav provided a detailed explanation regarding the height, area, market value, and legal implications of the buildings. “The scale of these constructions is unprecedented in this area,” MLA Vijay Kumar explained. “We ensured that the Deputy Chief Minister was well-informed about all aspects.”
After a 30-minute inspection, Pawan Kalyan left for the airport. Speaking afterward, he remarked, “These buildings raise many questions about the transparency and intent of the previous administration. It is important for the public to know the facts.” The visit has reignited concerns about the lavish constructions and their impact on the local environment and economy.
