Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for attending the Amaravati ReStart programme, despite the grave situation following the terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, Pawan Kalyan noted that around 28 people were killed in the attack. He lauded the Prime Minister’s unwavering commitment, saying, “Despite the country facing a war-like situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chosen to attend this programme, which reflects his dedication.”

Describing the Pahalgam attack as one of the darkest days for the nation, he said, “Blood was spilt in Kashmir and it sent shockwaves across the country. I met some of the victims and witnessed their pain. Prime Minister Modi is steering the nation through these testing times.”

The Deputy Chief Minister urged the Prime Minister to take stern action against those responsible for the attack. “I know this is an extremely sensitive period. The Prime Minister is bearing the burden of the nation in this tremendously difficult moment. Yet, he has come to Amaravati, showing his deep commitment to the people of Amaravati and Andhra Pradesh,” he stated.

Launching a sharp criticism of the previous YSRCP government, Pawan Kalyan alleged that the development of the capital city was stalled for five years. He remarked that Sections 30 and 144 echoed through the capital region during the YSRCP’s tenure.

“The farmers of the capital region have won the ‘Dharma Yuddham’ they waged against the misrule of YSRCP. They endured police lathis, humiliation, and even persons with disabilities were not spared,” he lamented.

He also commended the women of the region for their resilience and fighting spirit over the last five years. With the NDA now in power both in the State and at the Centre, Pawan Kalyan assured that the construction of the capital city would now move forward at a brisk pace.
