In a scathing attack during his ‘Varahi Vijaya Yatra’ on Thursday, Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan drew a comparison between Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and the infamous poacher smuggler Veerappan.
Addressing a massive gathering, Pawan Kalyan likened Jagan Mohan Reddy to Veerappan, highlighting their alleged exploitation of volunteers for personal gains. “Similar to how Veerappan manipulated innocent tribal communities, Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to be exploiting volunteers for his own mileage,” Pawan Kalyan stated.
He underscored the urgent need for change, declaring, “For true development in Andhra Pradesh, it is imperative that Jagan Mohan Reddy steps aside and Jana Sena Party takes the lead.”
Pawan Kalyan rallied the crowd with a fervent call to action, urging citizens to stand against Jagan Reddy’s rule. “Should JSP ascend to power, a comprehensive investigation will be launched into land acquisitions and resource mismanagement. Those accountable within the YSRCP will face justice. Fear not the tactics of YSRCP members. Flee not your homeland in the face of their intimidation, for they will persist elsewhere,” he asserted.
“Let us not flee; let us compel Jagan Reddy and his associates to retreat. The actions of one individual should not hold the power to dismantle our state. We shall bow to no one, for we are not subservient,” he declared resolutely.
Kalyan lamented the overshadowing of Potti Sriramulu’s sacrifice for a separate Andhra Pradesh, juxtaposing it with the proliferation of YSR statues across the region.
Charging that Jagan Mohan Reddy played a pivotal role in the bifurcation of the State, Kalyan cited alarming statistics, “A staggering 30,000 women have gone missing, corroborated by reports from central agencies. Andhra Pradesh is now grappling with a burgeoning drug trade. Acts of violence, such as the murder of an MLC and the shocking delivery of a body to a doorstep, bear testament to the deteriorating situation. Even officials once hailed as ‘Akka and Anna’ by Jagan Mohan Reddy have found themselves incarcerated on corruption charges. A stern warning to officials: resist the allure of Jagan Reddy’s machinations,” he cautioned.
Pawan Kalyan further castigated the conversion of the Andhra University campus into a YSRCP hub, lamenting the precipitous decline in the institution’s ranking. “Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tenure has inflicted irreparable damage upon the Andhra University, demoting it to an abysmal 76th position,” he lamented.
Labelling Jagan Mohan Reddy a profiteer masquerading as a politician, Pawan Kalyan alleged, “Jagan Reddy’s insatiable appetite for wealth knows no bounds, as evidenced by his involvement in various business transactions.”
Pawan Kalyan concluded on a determined note, pledging, “Come 2024, the YSRCP shall not regain power under my watch. I am resolute in my mission to thwart their return and salvage our state.”
