Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited Kalitanda village in Gorantla mandal on Saturday to pay homage to Agniveer Murali Naik, who was martyred during Operation Sindoor. “It is deeply painful that a young soldier, who rejected a railway job to serve the nation, had to lose his life at just 23. His sacrifice reflects the far-reaching consequences of terrorism and border conflict across the country,” he said, extending condolences to Murali’s parents, Jyothi Bai and Sriram Naik.
Condemning Pakistan’s breach of ceasefire merely three hours after agreeing to a truce, Pawan Kalyan termed it a betrayal. He warned the nation not to trust Pakistan’s “ceasefire theatrics”.
Speaking to the media after paying his respects, the Deputy CM said, “India has never desired war, nor initiated one against any neighbour. But to protect ourselves, we are left with no other option.
Pakistan alone bears responsibility for this situation.”
He accused the Pakistani Army of actively fuelling terrorism against India. “The Pakistani Army Chief himself provoked terrorists. Within a week of his incitement, the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April claimed 26 innocent lives. In response, India struck back and neutralised terror camps across the border.”
Recalling Pakistan’s history of hostility, Pawan Kalyan noted, “Since partition in 1947, Pakistan has waged four wars, harboured terrorism and caused the deaths of countless civilians. From the attacks in Delhi and Mumbai to the blasts in Coimbatore, Jama Masjid, Gokul Chat and Lumbini Park, Pakistan-sponsored terrorism has haunted India for decades. This must end.”
He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Indian government should deliver a decisive response. “This is the will of the people,” he declared.
Warning of continued threats, he urged citizens to stay alert. “Terrorists are planning further attacks. A ceasefire is not peace — it is merely a strategic ploy by Pakistan. Breaking it within three hours exposes their real motives.”
Pawan Kalyan also shared that Murali Naik was a devoted fan of his, making the loss deeply personal. “He loved his country more than anything else. Losing such a patriotic young man is heartbreaking. We stand with his family in their grief.”
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Ministers Nara Lokesh, Vangalapudi Anitha, Satyakumar Yadav and S Savitha; MPs Parthasarathi; MLAs Arava Sridhar, D Prasad, Palle Sindhura Reddy and MS Raju; HUDA Chairman TC Varun; and TDP leaders Ch Madhusudhan Reddy, Tatamshetty Nagendra, Bhavani Ravikumar, Patti Chandrashekhar, Ishwar and Kumar, among others.
