Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications, Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, along with former minister Alapati Rajendra Prasad, inaugurated a new school building and sports complex at the District Council High School in Nandivellugu village on Saturday. The facilities, constructed for two crore rupees, are aimed at enhancing educational opportunities in the region.
The school staff and students extended a warm floral welcome to the dignitaries, setting a festive tone for the inauguration. In his address, Dr. Pemmasani Chandrasekhar emphasized the transformative power of education, particularly for underprivileged individuals.
Citing a quote from legendary actor and politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the minister said, “Mother and motherland are greater than heaven,” underscoring the importance of community and local pride. He also called for remembrance of NTR on his death anniversary.
“Education introduces the poor to the world. Regardless of fate, schools shape students into knowledgeable and progressive individuals,” he stated. He further highlighted the pivotal role of teachers in nurturing students from apprehensive learners to confident intellectuals capable of navigating the world.
Dr. Chandrashekhar also emphasized the importance of character, comparing it to a fragile glass that can shatter if not nurtured properly. “True satisfaction comes from serving society,” he said, urging Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to engage more in community service.
Former minister Alapati Rajendra Prasad stated that the new facilities would significantly improve the educational environment, empowering students and fostering community development in the region
