Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that people are not in a position to believe former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Responding to the BRS’s silver jubilee celebrations public meeting held at Warangal, the CM said that there is no ‘substance’ in KCR’s speech.

“KCR is blaming us after emptying the treasury. KCR spoke at the Warangal public meeting due to his insecurity. There was no clarity in KCR’s speech,” the CM said.

Criticising KCR for stating that the government is not even answering ‘Harish and KTR’ (kids) in the Assembly about what is needed of him to attend the Assembly, Revanth asked KCR to explain why he is sending ‘children’ to the Assembly.

The CM said that no state is implementing the schemes implemented in Telangana by the Congress government and that a discussion about his rule will be held among the people six months before the next Assembly elections.

Revanth said that his government introduced many schemes during the last one-and-a-half years and is streamlining them now, and added that the government had streamlined the administrative machinery.

“Some officers are being continued due to the lack of alternatives. Coordination is necessary among officers. Some officers are focusing more on making money. Officers who have domain expertise are given importance. Naveen Mittal knows land issues like Bhu Bharati and Dharani,” the CM said.

Reacting to Prime Minister Modi, the CM said the nation needs an ‘Indira Gandhi-type’ Prime Minister.

Responding to another question, Revanth reiterated that he and Rahul Gandhi have a good relationship. There is no need to tell the world about the equation I have with Rahul Gandhi, the CM said.

When asked why his government is not arresting opposition leaders facing corruption charges, the CM said that he will be in politics for 20 more years.
“I will not enter into vengeful acts. I will follow the law. I will not arrest anyone giving in to the demand to arrest someone, even if it is the case against KTR or the phone tapping case or anything that should be done as per the law. I will not order the police to arrest anyone misusing the law like KCR,” the CM said.
He said he will fulfil his promise if he makes a commitment to anyone. “I gave a commitment to Addanki Dayakar and gave him an MLC ticket. Posts would come to those who are patient. Congress leaders would lose if they spoke as they liked. I will not forget anyone who places their trust in me,” he said.

The CM said the government provided all the TGSRTC buses KCR had requested for the Warangal meeting. The TGSRTC also earned revenue through it. However, the BRS Government did not give buses when the Congress asked for them for Rahul Gandhi’s meeting.

He said Congress MLAs would have to go to the people, and then only schemes would reach the people. The government lagged behind in publicising things done by it, the CM said.
