‘People will decide YSR’s heir’ Jagan says Oppn using his siblings as pawns

Must read

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has asserted that the people must decide the heir of great leader Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, who propelled Pulivendula towards prosperity, a legacy further elevated by the YSRCP government. These remarks were made during a public meeting preceding his nomination filing in Pulivendula on Thursday.
Taking a swipe at the Opposition, CM Jagan remarked, “Unable to confront me solo in the political arena, the coalition of TDP-JSP-BJP has aligned to conspire against me. Regrettably, my siblings (alluding to Sharmila and Sunita) are being manipulated as pawns in their strategy.” He urged the public to recall those who endeavoured to besmirch the late YSR’s reputation by lodging allegations and tarnishing his legacy posthumously.
CM Jagan further scrutinised, “It was the Congress which sought to obfuscate YSR’s legacy. Congress fared worse at the polls than NOTA. Congress bears the culpability for the State’s bifurcation and the omission of special category status from the State Reorgani sation Act. Would anyone endorse a party that fractured the state?” He highlighted that endorsing Congress equates to supporting Chandrababu, emphasizing the detrimental impact of divided votes benefiting Chandrababu and the BJP.
Addressing the issue of his late uncle Vivekananda Reddy’s demise, CM Jagan queried, “Does the populace not recollect who perpetrated the demise of my uncle Vivekananda Reddy? Is it not factual that Vivekananda had a second spouse? Are the queries raised by Avinash in numerous interviews not rational?” He defended Avinash, stating that he was innocent, hence his nomination for the elections.
The Chief Minister lamented attempts to mar Avinash Reddy’s reputation, asserting, “Our kin have aligned with the opposition’s machinations. They consort with those who unjustly defeated Chinnanna (Uncle Vivekananda) in the MLC elections. The public ought to be wary of the opposition’s schemes to derive political mileage.”
Grateful for the support of his constituents during trying times, CM Jagan credited the development and success of Pulivendula to his late father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He affirmed, “Pulivendula epitomizes development, trust, and triumph, owing to the legacy of my late father.” Referring to the allegations of cultural disparities, he asserted, “Kindness and resilience are inherent in our culture, contrary to the baseless accusations levelled against us.”
CM Jagan asserted his administration’s prowess, stating, “No one surpasses Jagan in governance, welfare, and initiatives. The opposition cannot claim superiority over YSRCP in any domain. Is Pulivendula prepared to rebuke those assaulting YSR’s legacy?”
He reaffirmed his commitment to governance devoid of bribery and discrimination, promising the imminent establishment of a medical college, a longstanding aspiration of Pulivendula’s populace. Concluding, he reiterated his dedication to public service, dismissing claims of neglecting family members since assuming office as Chief Minister.
