Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP decides the candidates of AIMIM and that the AIMIM will field candidates only in constituencies suggested by the BJP. He said that the AIMIM is contesting in Nampally only to trouble the Congress. Criticising Asaduddin Owaisi for extending full support to the BJP, Rahul said that Asaduddin Owaisi’s grandfather and father won elections on Congress tickets. Addressing a meeting at Bazarghat in Nampally on the last of the election campaign on Tuesday, Rahul said that there was a ‘Dorala’ government in Telangana till now and a ‘peoples’ government will come to power after the elections.
He said that corruption ruled in all Telangana projects including the Kaleshwaram Project and that KCR looted public funds showing Rs 1 lakh crore as the outlay of the Kaleshwaram project.
He said that KCR has the credit of seizing the lands of 20 lakh people through the Dharani Portal and that the Congress will retrieve the money KCR looted from the people.
Rahul said that the BJP’s Central government filed 24 cases against him and is keeping the ED, the CBI and the IT Department behind him 24 hours a day.
He said they also ‘cancelled’ his Parliament membership and saw that he got two years jail. The BJP also made him vacate his MP quarters, he said and added that he doesn’t need a house as he is in the hearts of the poor.
He asked whether the same BJP government had filed any case against Asaduddin Owaisi and KCR and ordered an inquiry against them. He said that Asaduddin Owaisi and KCR have supported the BJP and the Bills it introduced.
Rahul said that it was the Congress which constructed the Metro, the RGI Airport and the Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad. He said that the schools and colleges where KCR studied were also constructed by Congress governments.
He said that nobody used to speak about the word ‘love’ before his Bharat Jodo Yatra in politics. He said that he got support for his attempts to turn the attention of the nation to ‘love’ through his Bharat Jodo Yatra.
He said that Modi and RSS have been engaging in ‘communal’ politics filled with ‘hatred.’ “Hence, we opened ‘Shops of Love’ in every street through the Bharat Jodo Yatra,” he said.
