On the occasion of International Photography Day, a photography exhibition was organised in Hyderabad under the auspices of the Telangana State Information and Civil Relations Department on Monday. Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy inaugurated the photo exhibition.
The Minister said that he used to read daily newspapers every day. Even if he did not read all the news, he would see the photos on all the pages and understand the content of the news. “Here are the photo entries for the photography competition organised by the Telangana government under the Abhaya Hastham guarantees. Today’s photography exhibition stands as a proof of the government’s efforts for the implementation of development and welfare programmes for the last eight months for the implementation of Abhaya Hastham in Telangana, which has brought about a change in Indiramma’s rule. The government is working under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with two eyes on welfare and development.
Chairman of State Media Academy Srinivasa Reddy said that news with a photo would be perfect. Photographers work with many ups and downs and difficulties at the field level. In some cases they work harder than journalists. Photos have the power to make people think, he added.
Hanumantha Rao, Special Commissioner of the State Information and Civil Relations Department, said, “In all, 101 people sent 990 photos in the International Photography Day competitions held in five categories – Mahalaxmi, Rythu Bharosa, Cheyutha, Gruha Jyothi and Best News Picture.
