PM to inaugurate a slew of rly projects in Vij divn tomorrow

Narendra A Patil, Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager, SCR, announced on Sunday that to bolster Indian Railway’s initiatives, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate various projects worth Rs 85,000 Crore and flag off several trains on March 12 via video conferencing across the nation.
In Andhra Pradesh, this includes 133 OSOP stalls, 3 PM Gati Shakti terminals, 7 goods sheds, 1 PM Jan Aushadi Kendra, 2 rail coach restaurants, and 12 sections of doubling/ third line and bypass projects. Additionally, the introduction of the 2nd Vande Bharat between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam will be a significant highlight.
In the Vijayawada Division, 3 upgraded Good Sheds at Tanuku, Bikkavolu, and Eluru, along with 67 OSOP Stalls, and key railway line projects such as Gudur–Bitragunta third line, Bitragunta – Karavadi – Chirala third line, and Vijayawada Bypass Line will be dedicated to the nation. The project cost of the Rail Line Project is Rs 3246 Crore.
The introduction of the 2nd Vande Bharat between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam is particularly noteworthy, following the success of the first one, known for its reduced travel time, punctuality, and ambience. This new addition aims to cater to the passengers of the busiest section of Visakhapatnam–Vijayawada–Secunderabad Section.
Narendra Patil also highlighted Indian Railways’ focus on enhancing Goods Sheds nationwide, with the Ministry of Railways recently approving Rs.150 Crore for the upgradation of 15 Good Sheds across Vijayawada Division, including Tadepalligudem, Bayyaram, Bikkavolu, Dwarapudi, Padgupadu, Samalkot, Krishna Canal, Eluru, Gudivada, Tenali, Nidadavolu, Palakollu, Akividu, and Tanuku.
Present at the announcement were M Srikanth, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations); Rambabu Vavilapalli, Sr Divisional Commercial Manager, and Nusrat M Mandrupkar, Public Relations Officer of Vijayawada Division.
