PM’s virtual connect with PVTG tribes in V’nagaram

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will engage in an online interaction with representatives from the Primarily Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in Vizianagaram as part of the ‘Jan Man’ programme on Monday (January 15).
The live interview will be broadcast in the Deppur tribal village of Gantiyada mandal Kilthampalem panchayat in Vizianagaram district, as directed by District Collector S. Nagalakshmi. Public Welfare Officer T. Chandrasekhar Rao highlighted the preparations, including the setup of stalls related to various departments for community engagement
and awareness.
The programme, covering PVTG tribes from eight districts nationwide, aims to address the multifaceted needs of these communities. In Vizianagaram district alone, approximately 4,000 PVTG tribes are covered under the ‘PM Jan Man’ scheme. Proposed initiatives include
the approval of 124 houses, allocation of Rs10 crores for the construction of 10.2 km of
roads, and plans to provide drinking water to the homes of 170 PVTG tribes through taps.
Infrastructure enhancement efforts include the proposal for an Anganwadi building in U
Gadabawalasa of Terlam mandal, and the establishment of One Dhan Vikas Kendra in
Mentada mandal G. Guddiwalasa, aiming to boost the income of tribal farmers through marketing facilities  for their forest products.
The ‘Jan Man’ programme is making substantial strides in fostering development and
improving the overall wellbeing of marginalized PVTG communities in the Vijayanagaram district. The broadcast is scheduled for Monday at noon, bringing attention to the initiatives
aimed at uplifting and supporting these tribal group.
