The BJP activists, led by the party State unit secretary Madagoni Srinivas Goud on Wednesday made a bid to lay siege to the house of Nalgonda MLA Kancharla Bhupal Reddy. The police foiled the BJP’s attempt to lay siege and arrested the party activists.
The BJP gave a call to the party activists to lay siege to the houses of the ruling party MLAs to exert pressure on the government to allot double bedroom houses to all the eligible poor people. The police detained the saffron party activists and thus foiled their bid to lay siege to the house of the MLA.
Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Goud demanded that the State government extend Dalit Bandhu and BC Bandhu benefits to all the eligible people. He also demanded that the government sanction double bedroom houses, Rs 3 lakh under the Gruhalakshmi scheme and ration cards to all the eligible poor people.
Those detained by the police were party Nalgonda district unit president Kankanala Sridhar Reddy, Kisan Morcha national executive committee member Goli Madhusudan Reddy, party State unit executive committee member Virelli Chandrasekhar and others.
