Political turf heats up as 4 brs MLAs meet CM

Must read

Four BRS MLAs from the Medak Parliament constituency met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Tuesday at his residence. Of the six BRS MLAs from the Medak Parliamentary constituency, two are former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao and BRS leader T. Harish Rao.

The remaining BRS MLAs Sunitha Lakshma Reddy (Narsapur), Kotha Prabhakar Reddy (Dubbaka), Gudem Mahipal Reddy (Patacheruvu) and Manik Rao (Zaheerabad) paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The Telangana CMO said that it was a “courtesy call.” Sunitha Lakshma Reddy said that they had met the CM about protocol issues, constituency development and security for MLAs. They also met Intelligence chief Shivdhar Reddy as well.

This is seen as an interesting development ahead of the Lok Sabha elections and the meeting has become a hot topic in Telangana political circles.

The MLAs said they raised the security for MLAs, protocol issues and special funds for pending projects with the CM. All the four MLAs said the meeting was apolitical and that there were no discussions about politics.

In a statement, Gudem Mahipal Reddy said, “Like Revanth Reddy meeting Narendra Modi, we met the CM regarding development issues. There are unnecessary speculations about the meeting. We will ensure that the BRS wins in the Medak Parliament constituency.”

Medak is a BRS stronghold and the only seat which the BRS believes it can win. Barring Mynampally Rohit in Medak all the 6 Assembly segments are in the hands of the BRS.
