Pawan Kalyan is promoting his upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu like never before. In a whirlwind promotional tour, he was in Hyderabad one day, Vijayawada the next, and reached Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. His vigorous campaign has created a strong buzz around the film, with ticket bookings surging by the hour. Ticket prices have also been hiked for both the premiere shows and the first week across both Telugu-speaking states.
“This film is very special to me. It has faced several challenges — natural, man-made, and political. The producers stood by the project with great courage, and I see it as my duty to support such producers. Promoting this film is my responsibility,” said Pawan Kalyan, expressing his commitment to the project.
Sharing more about the obstacles the film encountered, he added, “Politically, I faced many challenges — including being detained in Visakhapatnam. During the previous government’s tenure, ticket prices were unfairly reduced, which badly affected the producers. They were targeted deliberately for collaborating with me. In spite of all this, we successfully completed the film.”

The actor-turned-politician also confirmed that a sequel to Hari Hara Veera Mallu is already in the works. “The second part is already 20 percent complete,” he revealed during a media interaction in Vijayawada.
Speaking about the film’s theme, he said, “Hari Hara Veera Mallu is deeply rooted in the idea of Dharma and highlights the struggles faced by people during the Mughal era. It’s about resisting those who demanded taxes just to live as Hindus — that’s the soul of this story. The film also subtly explores how the Kohinoor diamond, which was discovered on the banks of the Krishna River, eventually reached the Mughals and found its way to London.”
When asked how he balances his duties as Deputy Chief Minister with his film career, Pawan Kalyan said, “Politics is my top priority. But cinema gave me identity, food, and livelihood — it will always be an integral part of my life.”
On whether he will continue acting while serving in politics, he responded, “That’s up to God. If He blesses it, anything is possible.”
