Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy became angry as the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) did not respond to the questions raised by the Minister regarding farmers.
Ponguleti attended the Rythu Awareness programme on Bhu Bharati on Monday at Chandampet in Nalgonda district. On this occasion, the farmers raised their problems with the Minister. The Minister asked RDO Ramana Reddy and the Tahasildar about the problems of farmers. However, there was no answer from the RDO. Ponguleti responded angrily and said that the RDO does not have proper knowledge about the Revenue Division. He warned Revenue officials present at the meeting to change their attitude.
He said that Tahasildar-level revenue official must accept applications from farmers from June 2 and that farmers would get solutions for
their problems without paying a single rupee.
Ponguleti said the government is going to appoint 6,000 licensed surveyors for surveying land. The government is going to send one Grama Paripalana Officer (GPO) to each village in the first week of May, he added.
He said the government will solve Sada Bainama applications and the government will implement the Bhu Bharati Act effectively. The government will deliver justice to all farmers through the Bhu Bharati Act, he added.
